This is an SUPER easy recipe that makes great broths.
So depending if you are a Vegetarian or not will depend on what type of broth you want to make.
This is what I do to prepare for making my broth. Each time I use a veggie the stuff I would normally put in the trash I put in a freezer bag so like the onion peels, carrot skins, broccoli bottoms etc.
For meat lovers any bones you would throw away (chicken bones, ham bones etc) you would put in a freezer bag and place it in the freezer.
When your veggie bag is full it is time to make your broth.
Take all the contents from your freezer bags and put it in the crock-pot. Then you fill the crock-pot with water so that it covers all the veggies/bones and turn the crock-pot on Low.
Let it simmer for 12-24 hours (the longer the better) then strain your broth and put it in the fridge. It should last about a week in the fridge if you put it in the freezer it could last a couple weeks.
This picture is before it is strained.
I was reading Hebrews today. These verses really convicted me.
'There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.'
Hebrews 5:11-14 NLT
How many of us are still on the milk? Many people have been "Christians" their whole life and still don't know what the "word," says. I was one of them. I knew God or at least thought I did. I was on the milk almost 20 years because I NEVER read the bible. A few years ago I wanted to really pick up my cross and follow Jesus. It wasn't until I decided to pick up my cross that I actually started to grow. It wasn't until I started reading the Bible, Praying, Living for Christ that I really started to understand.
We won't grow until we start taking steps. If you are in a Slump if you are in a Rut, the best way to get out of that Rut is to move! If you don't move you won't ever get the momentum to get out of it. You will just sit there and stay there. We hold our self back, by getting lazy and comfortable.
If we look at it in this perspective for a minute. If we sat on the couch day after day not wanting to get off the couch what would happen? Nothing! Except our house would get dirty. Dishes would pile up, dirt would be on the floors, the laundry would pile up. If only we would get up do the dishes, sweep the floor, and do our laundry our house would be clean. It is work but it teaches us responsibility. It is similar to being a Christian, we need to work. I am not meaning we must work to be saved I am meaning to grow to mature to have growth spiritually.
This was what was on my heart today.
God Bless you all <3
I read this the other day and it really cut me deep. Made me questions if everything I do, do I do it as a representative of Jesus. Am I representing Jesus with my All my actions and words? The answer is no, I don't. So that is why it jabbed me. Sometimes the verses cut and hurt but it is only to help us grow. There are higher heights and deeper depths. When I read this verse I had to pray about it that the Lord would help me, mold me and show me how to represent him in everything I do.
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
Colossians 3:17 NLT
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:17 KJV
Woman’s Bible Study
NLT 1991 version
(6) In the NLT it says that “and now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to him.” So that means since we accepted him we must follow him and turn from our sins. (7) “Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him, so you will grow in faith strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done.” This verse depicts us as trees or at least that is what I see in this verse. The bible mentions us as trees in a few other places as well. But lets really pick this verse apart. How do you let our roots grow down in him?
(8) “Don’t let anyone lead you astray with empty philosophy and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the evil powers of this world, and not from Christ.” This verse is one of my favorite verses because it tells us that there are empty philosophies that sound knowledgeable, but they come from human thinking and from evil powers. One of those philosophies is evolution. Macro evolution is nonsense that is devised from human thinking. It sounds knowledgeable, but it isn’t. There are also more subtle philosophies which look good but are just as dangerous. Therefore, we need to be rooted and grounded in Christ Jesus and lining all things up with scripture. (9) For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body.” This verse lets us know that Jesus is the fullness of God in a sinless human body. (10) “and you are complete through your union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe.” This doesn’t mean there are aliens it is meaning Jesus is above all rulers and principalities, because he is God.
I found this Bible reading plan on Woman living well ministries. I am going to start it today. If you want a to keep track of how many books in the Bible you have read this is a good plan for you. I wanted to read the books that I want when I want and just keep track and I found that this plan is great for that.
This is a flip through bible video of my KJV teachers bible.
Pizza Grilled Cheese
Take two slices of bread butter one side of each (for grilling) on the non buttered side add 1 slice of mozzarella then add one table spoon of pizza sauce on top of the mozzarella (if it isn't on top it will cause the bread to get soggy). Then add any pizza topping you would like such as pepperoni, mushrooms, etc. after you add those put another slice of mozzarella on top then the other piece of bread with the butter top up. Fry it in a skillet until the cheeze is melted or golden brown.
Family & Friends
When we are first saved or when we first come to Christ we usually have a fire in us. The fire or the drive that makes you want to go and tell everyone about Jesus. I don't know about you but that fire or that desire I feel is still in me. I feel like I want to let everyone know the "Good News" that Jesus can save them from this world. That he can heal them and break the bondage this world places on them. Whether that be an addiction, lust, fornication, homosexuality, pride, etc. Jesus can break any bondage any chain and there is power in His name. As we start telling people about Jesus there will be a some that will accept him and there will also be some that won't. When people don't accept Jesus it can feel discouraging and even more discouraging when those people are your family or friends.
The most important thing is to tell them in love. There is a right and a wrong way of spreading the Good news. If you are telling people and you don't have love in your heart for the people it will fall on deaf ears, for example, if you are yelling at people saying something like "YOU ARE GOING TO HELL UNLESS YOU COME TO JESUS" that isn't really a loving way to bring people to Jesus. I once heard a preacher say there is a lot of bullets in this bible but that doesn't mean you go shooting them at people. He was meaning that if you jab people with scriptures in the bible that isn't how you bring them to Jesus. I am also not saying don't quote scriptures, by all means, show them how much Jesus loves them. Now I am also not meaning that you sugar coat the gospel either, but you feed baby Christians or new Christians milk because if you try to force some meat down their throat they will choke.
Even if you are doing it out of love there is still going to be people who don't agree. I have lost a lot of family and friends. Jesus said if they hate us they hated him first. We need to realize that there are going to be times when we feel alone, but we aren't alone. God is always there and we can always call upon the Lord. There will be times when we lose "friends" when this happens continue to pray for them and continue to show them love, at times it can be very hard.
Jesus told us in Matthew:
“Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. ‘I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Your enemies will be right in your own household!"
Matthew 10:34-36 NLT
We know in Ephesians that the Sword is truth also Hebrews 4:12 mentions the word of God being a two-edged sword, and we know that all God's words are the truth.
So even though we might go through things and lose friends and some family might not want to be around us anymore. God has a plan for us. Here is another example in scripture about Jesus's family.
"As Jesus was speaking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. Someone told Jesus, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, and they want to speak to you.” Jesus asked, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” Then he pointed to his disciples and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”
Matthew 12:46-50 NLT
Jesus is saying that even if we lose our friends, or our family doesn't want to be around us because we started to change and become a Christian, that we have family in the faith. We have mothers, brothers, and sisters in the faith. That anyone who does the will of God is our family.
Like I said before though, we should continue to pray for them that they find Jesus, and know we have family, our church family.
God Bless you all and I hope you find this encouraging. Know that we are praying for you and I hope these verses bless you as much as they did me.
